During the course of the recent shutdown season, Century Elevators successfully provided turnkey elevator operations for several facilities. Although this service is commonplace, the method by which Century Elevators presented and executed certainly was not. During this period, it became quite clear this type of service was exponentially beneficial to each location as Century Elevators’ complete hands-on field services team was available at every turn and at any time to operate the machine and to keep consistent, around-the-clock operation without a hitch. By broadening Century Elevators’ already established team of professionals, we were able to create a new division that concentrates solely on the execution of turnkey and full-service projects. Permanent installations and rental or temporary jobs will be handled with the same sense of urgency and professionalism. At the time a job begins, our project manager and field service manager assigned to your specific job will inspect the location for installation.
After the inspection, the engineering department will provide general arrangement drawings of the precise machine for your specific location complete with forces and loads that will be applied to your structure. Once you approve, we will proceed to either the manufacturing stage or equipment selection phase depending on whether the project is temporary or permanent. Then for the duration of the project, you will remain with the same project manager who oversees every detail of the project and will be considered a liaison between you, the customer and Century Elevators. With the established timeline and accurate machine preparation, each project is expected on time and on budget. For temporary installations, we offer the services of on-site technicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week along with our certified operators who have been trained in troubleshooting and basic mechanical repair. If safety and profitability are the goals for your project, give us the keys and we will drive you there.
Utilizing a Century Elevators rack and pinion elevator during a shutdown saves time, labor and ultimately money. Every minute you are not moving during a shutdown represents thousands of dollars. Conversely, if your project is permanent in nature, let Century Elevators help to raise your personnel, inspection availability and ultimately workmanship while increasing safety and production. All power generating project applications require moving personnel or materials more than two levels.
